These policies establish the framework for every transaction, but our commitment to providing knowledgeable, responsive, and professional customer service remains at the center of everything we do.

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully. By accessing this website, creating an account, submitting an order, or completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

Effective Date: July 2026

State and local requirements may be more restrictive than federal minimums. Tar River Arms may require additional age, identity, or eligibility verification before processing an order.

03

Order Submission and Acceptance

Submitting an order through our website constitutes an offer to purchase. An automated order-confirmation email acknowledges that we received your order but does not constitute final acceptance.

Tar River Arms may review orders for inventory availability, pricing accuracy, legal compliance, payment authorization, fraud prevention, shipping eligibility, and other legitimate business purposes before accepting or fulfilling them.

To the extent permitted by law, Tar River Arms reserves the right to accept, decline, hold, modify, or cancel an order for reasons including:

  • Inventory or distributor availability
  • Pricing, specification, image, or description errors
  • Payment or identity-verification concerns
  • Suspected fraudulent or unlawful activity
  • Federal, state, or local compliance restrictions
  • FFL, shipping, or transfer complications
  • Supplier, manufacturer, or technical-system errors
04

Pricing, Promotions and Inventory

Tar River Arms works to maintain accurate pricing, inventory, photographs, descriptions, and specifications. However, our catalog may include information supplied by manufacturers, distributors, inventory feeds, and other third-party sources.

  • Inventory displayed online is not guaranteed until the order has been reviewed and accepted.
  • Prices and availability may change without notice.
  • Promotional pricing may begin or end without prior notice.
  • Coupons and promotional offers may not be combined or stacked unless expressly stated otherwise.
  • Discounts, coupons, or promotions obtained through misuse, duplication, technical error, or other unauthorized means may be canceled.
  • A price reduction occurring after a purchase does not entitle the customer to a refund or price adjustment.

Tar River Arms reserves the right to correct or cancel orders involving pricing, inventory, typographical, photographic, specification, manufacturer, distributor, or listing errors. If an affected order has already been charged, the applicable amount will be refunded if the order is canceled.

05

Firearm Purchases and FFL Transfers

Firearms purchased online cannot be shipped directly to an individual purchaser unless specifically permitted by applicable law. Firearms will generally be shipped to a properly licensed Federal Firearms License holder selected by the customer.

The customer is responsible for:

  • Selecting an eligible and active receiving FFL
  • Confirming that the FFL will accept the transfer
  • Providing accurate FFL information
  • Paying any transfer fee charged by the receiving dealer
  • Completing all required forms and background checks
  • Complying with waiting periods and local transfer requirements

The receiving FFL is an independent business and is not an agent, employee, or representative of Tar River Arms.

If required FFL documentation has not been received within thirty (30) days, Tar River Arms may continue to hold the order, request additional information, or take other action appropriate to the circumstances.

06

Inspection Before Firearm Transfer

Inspect the firearm before completing the transfer. Once the receiving FFL completes the transfer, the firearm is considered accepted by the purchaser.

Before completing any transfer, the customer should inspect the firearm for:

  • Visible shipping damage
  • An incorrect make, model, caliber, finish, or configuration
  • Missing components or accessories
  • Material cosmetic issues that were not disclosed
  • Any other immediately identifiable discrepancy

If a problem is identified, do not complete the transfer. Refuse the transfer and contact Tar River Arms immediately at (919) 307-4530 or sales@tarriverarms.com .

Once a firearm has been transferred, it is legally considered used, even if it has not been fired.

07

Returns, Refunds and Cancellations

TRA Policy All sales are final.

Except where required by law or expressly authorized in writing by Tar River Arms, we do not accept returns, exchanges, cancellations, or refund requests.

This policy includes, without limitation:

  • Firearms
  • Used firearms
  • Ammunition
  • Magazines
  • Optics and electronic sights
  • Night-vision and illumination equipment
  • Accessories and components
  • Special-order products
  • NFA-regulated items
  • Installed, altered, fired, or used products
  • Clearance, closeout, and as-is products

Customers should carefully review all product details, quantities, compatibility requirements, shipping information, and FFL selections before completing checkout.

Cancellation Requests

An order cannot be canceled after shipment. Requests made before shipment are not guaranteed and must be reviewed by Tar River Arms.

When Tar River Arms approves an exception to the all-sales-final policy, the company may impose reasonable restocking, processing, shipping, payment-processing, or administrative charges. Any applicable terms will be communicated before the exception is completed.

A discretionary exception made for one customer or transaction does not modify this policy or create an obligation to provide the same exception in another situation.

Defective or Incorrect Products

Customers must contact Tar River Arms first if they believe an item is defective, damaged, incomplete, or incorrect. Do not ship or return any product without prior authorization.

Depending on the product and circumstances, Tar River Arms may assist with inspection, manufacturer warranty support, carrier claims, replacement options, or another appropriate resolution.

08

Used Firearms and As-Is Products

Unless Tar River Arms expressly states otherwise in writing, all used firearms and products identified as used, pre-owned, consignment, surplus, blemished, or as-is are:

  • Sold in their existing condition
  • Sold without a Tar River Arms warranty
  • Subject to normal wear, handling marks, or prior use
  • Final sale

Product descriptions and photographs are intended to identify the item and communicate its general condition. Customers should ask questions before purchase and inspect transferred firearms before accepting them from the receiving FFL.

09

Manufacturer Warranties

Tar River Arms is a retailer and is not the manufacturer of the products sold through our website.

New firearms and other products may be covered by a manufacturer warranty. Warranty terms, duration, eligibility, exclusions, and remedies are determined exclusively by the manufacturer.

Customers should contact Tar River Arms first when a problem is discovered. We will help identify the appropriate next step, but warranty inspection, repair, replacement, and approval are generally handled by the product manufacturer.

Tar River Arms does not create or extend any manufacturer warranty unless a separate written warranty is expressly provided by Tar River Arms.

10

Shipping and Delivery

Tar River Arms works to ship orders promptly while maintaining required compliance, verification, and FFL-transfer procedures.

Most standard orders are expected to ship within approximately four to seven business days. Serialized items, distributor-shipped products, specialty items, regulated products, and orders requiring additional verification may take longer.

Shipping and delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Tar River Arms is not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including:

  • Carrier delays or service disruptions
  • Weather, natural disasters, or emergencies
  • Manufacturer or distributor delays
  • Inventory-feed or fulfillment-system delays
  • Missing or delayed FFL documentation
  • Customer verification or payment review
  • Government, regulatory, or ATF processing
  • Changes in applicable law or shipping restrictions

Customers are responsible for providing accurate billing, shipping, contact, and FFL information. Additional charges caused by inaccurate information, refused delivery, unsuccessful delivery, or redirected shipments may be charged to the customer.

11

Optional Shipping Protection

Tar River Arms may offer optional shipping protection during checkout. The applicable price, coverage limits, exclusions, and claim conditions will be based on the protection rate and terms displayed at the time of purchase.

Shipping protection applies only when selected and paid for during checkout. It generally provides limited protection against qualifying loss or physical damage occurring while an order is in transit.

Customers must notify Tar River Arms promptly regarding a lost, damaged, or misdirected shipment and provide any requested photographs, packaging, tracking records, affidavits, police reports, or other documentation reasonably required to investigate the claim.

Once the carrier confirms delivery to the address provided by the customer, Tar River Arms is generally not responsible for theft, disappearance, damage, or other loss occurring after delivery.

Customers should contact Tar River Arms first whenever a delivery issue occurs. Although reimbursement cannot be guaranteed after confirmed delivery, we will make reasonable efforts to help investigate the situation and communicate with the carrier.

12

Special Orders and NFA-Regulated Items

Special-order products, custom-configured products, allocated inventory, suppressors, and other NFA-regulated items are final sale once the order is submitted.

These orders are non-refundable and cannot be canceled merely because of processing time, transfer delays, changes in customer circumstances, or buyer's remorse.

NFA purchases may require Form 3, Form 4, tax-stamp, fingerprint, photograph, trust, responsible-person, or other regulatory documentation. Processing times are controlled by government agencies and are not guaranteed by Tar River Arms.

If a transfer is legally denied or cannot be completed, Tar River Arms will determine the available options based on applicable law, product status, processing stage, supplier restrictions, and recoverable costs.

13

Identity Verification and Fraud Prevention

Tar River Arms may use fraud-screening, payment-verification, identity-verification, address-verification, and other security measures to protect our customers and business.

We reserve the right to:

  • Request government-issued identification
  • Verify billing and shipping addresses
  • Verify customer age and legal eligibility
  • Request additional documentation
  • Contact the cardholder or financial institution
  • Delay shipment while verification is completed
  • Require an alternative payment method
  • Refuse or cancel an order suspected of fraud

Failure to provide requested verification may result in the order being held or canceled.

14

Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

Customers agree to contact Tar River Arms before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute so that we have a reasonable opportunity to review and resolve the concern.

Tar River Arms is committed to addressing legitimate customer concerns promptly and professionally.

Chargebacks involving authorized purchases, delivered merchandise, completed services, transferred firearms, non-refundable orders, or violations of these Terms & Conditions may be challenged using order records, delivery confirmation, transfer information, communications, IP records, signed documentation, and other available evidence.

15

Product Images, Descriptions and Website Content

Our website may display both actual product photographs and stock photographs supplied by manufacturers or distributors.

When an image represents the actual individual item being sold, we may identify it as an actual-item image. Other images may be representative and may not show the exact serial number, packaging, accessories, finish variation, or configuration delivered.

Manufacturer specifications, included accessories, packaging, and product configurations may change without notice. Customers should review the written product listing and contact Tar River Arms before purchasing when a specific characteristic is essential to their decision.

Tar River Arms may correct website content at any time and is not obligated to fulfill an order based on an obvious error, inaccurate supplier data, or incorrect product information.

16

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tar River Arms shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to:

  • Use of this website
  • Product availability or cancellation
  • Shipping or delivery delays
  • FFL transfer decisions
  • Government processing delays
  • Product misuse, alteration, installation, or incompatibility
  • Possession, handling, storage, or use of purchased products

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

17

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms & Conditions and any dispute arising from the use of this website or a transaction with Tar River Arms shall be governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

To the extent permitted by law, any legal proceeding shall be brought in an appropriate state or federal court located in Wake County, North Carolina.
